Veterans' Day: I am THANKFUL!

I believe that our country (as a group of people, not necessarily as a governing body) doesn't do enough to be grateful for our veterans and active-duty military. I know I don't. So I just want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to my father-in-law, to my uncles, to our Papa Jim, to all who've served for us. We are truly grateful for you and we hope to show it better. We love you!

I very much second your sentiment and also extend gratitutde I simply don't have the ability to craft words for.
I couldn't agree more about the state of honor we extend veterans and I think the most shameful example is the state of medical care our veterans receive.
I am 100% opposed to any (more) socialized medicine until the medical care every single veteran receives is the standard to which any other medical care is measured against, both physical and mental.
As well our most deplorable failure is that we suffer even a single homeless, impoverished veteran.
These things will change, but only if we acknowledge the reality of our treatment of those who deserve the most as the least of us.
